This will probably save Sampson's job LA can't win on the road...so they'll get to play the rest of their Open Cup games at home. Should LA get past Minnesota in the Open Cup Semi Final next week, they'll get the final will be at the HDC. There's no chance Sampson will be taking next Wednesday's match lightly.

Only playing one road game in the Cup sure seems like a 'get out of jail free' card to me. But then again, I've argued that the Cup is a great way for a team that hasn't had a great season to turn things around and win something. Guess I can't have it both ways...would I trade the Cup for a new coach? Probably not.  ¶ 1:43 PM
