This is what it's all about Former Galaxy and current Portland Timber defender Scott Thompson is currently in Sunderland on a two-week trial with club in the Northeast of England. He impressed Mick McCarthy in their recent match against the Black Cats which brought on the invitation.

Thompson's parents are English so he won't have work permit problems either. Good luck to him...and if he makes it, he'll be yet another Galaxy reject doing better after leaving So Cal.  ¶ 6:04 PM
