How could Chivas' marketing have produced such poor attendance? Saturday's match against the Galaxy should be interesting.
On the flip side, Salt Lake got some great numbers. It'll be interesting to see if those numbers continue and the great press coverage they got this weekend won't disappear. It's just too bad they have to play on that plastic grass with the dark green patches where they painted over the football markings. It's still better than the Meadowlands though.
Couldn't the Galaxy and Chivas have played at least one match before selling the naming rights to a corporate sponsor? The Honda Super Clasico doesn't even come close to the Merseyside Derby or the North London Derby or....well, you get my point. The name is probably brought to us by the same Marketing genius' that gave us the San Jose Clash and Kansas City Wiz. Well, it's nice to know they are still employed.
Ronnie O'Brian's goal against Chivas on Saturday is my early nomination for Goal of the Season. Heck, I'd have to wrack my brain a while to find a more incredible goal. 30 yards out...curling shot...just inside the upper 90. If you haven't seen it yeah, check it out on MLSnet.com. Is it me, or are Colorado as big a disappointment as Chivas at this point of the season? I honestly felt they had made some positive moves in the off-season...guess I was wrong there.

Forget the Premiership and all those other leagues on FSC and GolTV, the best race in Europe right now is the English Championship. Sunderland, Wigan and Ipswich are all scrapping over 2 automatic promotion spots. Sadly, I'm starting to think it'll be Ipswich in the playoffs. Hope I'm wrong.
Is Chivas Coach, Thomas Rongren on the chopping block yet?
It's Tuesday and I had a check of the Salt Lake Tribune website. They have an article on Real today (just updates from practice etc) How many other MLS city's have a paper that gives the team midweek coverage when there's really nothing to report?
